For Sale 1966 VW Beetle 1300 with it's 6 volt electrical system still intact. This bug was painted in 2001 and parked in a barn and never finished,it sat for ten years, I bought it with the intention of doing a full restoration but, with the economy and other projects,I am forced to sell. This bug is great for a full restoration or just do the interior and fix the brakes and it would make a great driver. The bug runs good but, after sitting for 11 years the brakes are sticking, I changed the master cylinder and one wheel cylinder and replaced one brake hose and line. I think if you replaced the other lines and the other wheel cylinders it would fix the problem.The tires were new 11 years ago,they have no miles but, they have age and are weathered. The drivers door lower door hinge area has some paint missing and minor damage,looks like the wind caught the door,you can see it in the pictures. I have some reproduction and NOS parts that will go with the sale of the car,they are. It drives well and looks good, it would be a great car to drive as you restore it. The Convertible top, Headliner and tires look to be brand new, interior is in good condition, the floor pan is in good original condition but it has a couple of patches (see pictures) some of the door & window rubber is original, so it may have to be replaced eventualy. The horn and wipers don't work. The body is straight and only has a few small spots that need attention and small repair. This car holds everyone's attention. Comes with 4 inch adjustable front beam , rear was lowered with drop extension bracket. Everything is easily reversible.
Comes with a strong running 1600dp , 34-pict3 carb , svda distributor. It drives and brakes great. Mechanically it needs nothing and it's ready for a that long road trip.
Paint is nice and shiny not a showroom but more than better for a daily driver. It has few paint chips and some imperfections which will not show on the pictures.
Pans are good - runs great ( tuned up )
